Trip Display / Touch Tracer not working

Actually in the Gen 3 now that we're in the 10-year plus Mark or getting right there I think I've read work quite a few of these displays have been replaced maybe Texas hybrids they have a handle here in their places obviously in Texas has a handle on this situation for the generation 3 I know they do for my cars I don't know if this has been upgraded to a thing yet and there's a fix of course you've done everything you can do reboot the car reboot the electrical system and so on like any computer and it won't respond so I would say a replacement is probably inevitable or taking it apart and playing around with circuits on the circuit board which is not in my skill set at all and have no interest in I have people that do soldering and all that if I need it I would never have time for that.

 

Is this through the steering wheel controls?
