    Sorry pal.
    Can't wait that long.

My work phone is a 13pro and it has a SIMM card tray with a physical SIMM card.
Knowing Big Bell, it's probably carrier locked - which I have no problem with - because.....it's THEIR phone.

My personal 13 also has a card tray but it's unlocked and has no physical card present......at least not NOW. :D

I like the flexibility that this brings to the table, but alias Apple is a buzz-kill phone company, and so any newer phone that I buy will not be able to accept a physical SIMM card - which is too bad.

I will still be able to add additional or replacement carriers at will since any phone I own will be a phone that I OWN - meaning Unlocked.
I will miss the ability to use a physical card but if I REALLY need to use one I have burners.

Several years ago it was ruled a phone company couldn't keep a phone locked to their service, and that they would have to unlock any such phones if the customer requestes.

It may change in the future.

I believe they could keep it locked for the first year or 2 though.

I have a related statement on my web site:

"It is said that you learn from your mistakes.
I say that it is better to learn from the mistakes of others.
    More quantity - Less pain"
