motor oil on air filter gasket seal. Problems?

While I was pouring motor oil into the Prius this weekend, I spilled a little on the top cover of the air filter (I assume that plastic case with 4 or 5 cam buckles on the cover houses the air filter). I went to remove it in order to wipe it clean, and some oil got inside on the filter, mostly on the rubber gasket seal that surrounds it. Some also got on the inside top cover. I wiped it up as best I could, and used some rubbing alcohol to help clean it. I then let everything dry, but you could still see there was some oil left on there. Will this damage the engine in any way?

Cross your fingers, no. Did any oil get into the throttle body itself?

My knowledge of engines is limited. I basically just do oil changes. I assume by throttle body, you mean the the "hole" that the air filter covers?

I don't think any oil got in there. If it did, would that just lead to some oil in the cylinders? Would that just lead to some smoky exhaust?

    Thanks for all your help.

    Yep, that's it

Actually, that can cause some issues with the Prius, not just smoky exhaust. Seems the way the PCV is designed, a certain amount gets drawn in anyway and can cause driveability issues. A lot of us are very careful to slowly add fresh oil when doing an oil change, and to never add past the Full dot.

Some of us even intentionally keep the oil level between the two dots to prevent problems. I tried to search for a link but the Search appears to be flaky again

I was very careful to only add 3.3 quarts. I'm about 1/8" to 3/16" below the full dot.

Looks like I should get out the Q-Tips and try to do a thorough cleaning tonight.
