Just got a 2024 Prius LE. Had an old 2017 Prius Two for 8y and 164k miles, loved that car.

Several questions I can't figure out about electronics on the new 2024 Prius LE:

    1. Where can I see current mpg while I'm driving?
In my old 2017 Prius, it updated my current mpg on that trip every few seconds... can the 2024 display do that?... if so where?...
All I've found is where I can see mpg after I turn the engine off for that trip.

    2. Can I remove "Amazon Music" and "Sirius XM" etc from the round of options when I press "Mode" on the steering wheel?... I have no plans to ever use those...

    3. Can the odometer show tenths of miles?... currently, it only shows whole miles... how can I change that?...

    4. Why does my car often beep 8 or 9 times when I've turned it off, locked the doors, and I'm walking away?... I can't figure out how or why it does that... no lights on... doors are locked... no key inside car... no phone inside car... I do not know. It doesn't always do this... but it often does... weird.

    5. Why doesn't Android Auto always connect. A few times, I get in the car and Android Auto acts almost like I've never connected to this car before. I have to go to my phone and active Android Auto... select this Prius... etc... so aggravating...

Thanks in advance for the help.

    Some answers:

    1. There's no instant mpg as a number. I assume you've found the horizontal bar graph that gives you a visual approximation of your instant mpg? You can also dig into the infotainment screen and manually reset your average mpg which can basically do the same as giving you an instant mpg. Finally, you can set your fuel efficiency screen(the one with the bar graph) to trip average, which will reset the mpg every time you put the car in gear(or maybe it's every time you start the car - I can't remember exactly what "trip" means in this context).

    3. I don't think so, but I think switching to the A/B trip odometer gives you tenths. I'm not in my car, so I'm going from memory and could be wrong(it's currently -10F, so I'm not going out unless I have to - lol).

    4. Are you enrolled in the free 1yr trial for Drive Connect and do you have your phone set up as a digital key? If so, I've noticed the car sometimes lags about the location of the phone. It thinks the phone is still inside the car when it's actually just outside the car. This is doubly true if you typically keep your phone in your right front pocket(the one closest to the door when you're trying to lock it using the door handle). You can try turning down the sensitivity in the phone's Toyota app. I'm currently not subscribed to Drive Connect, so I can't tell you exactly how to get to that setting, but you should be able to figure it out if you play with the app for a bit.

    5. I suggest using a cord. I know it's a hassle, but the wireless charger is almost useless anyway. It's extremely flaky with certain models of phones, and even when it works there's a problem with heat build up if you're using your phone to stream to the head unit. I've had my phone shut down from heat in as little as 10min when I was streaming video. Use a cord and then set your phone in the forward tray or put it in the charger bottom side up so there's good air flow all the way around it. When using a cord, the car almost always successfully connects using Android Auto(like 95+% of the time).

    Adding on to #4:

The beeping can also be caused by the rear seat reminder. If you opened the rear door at some point, the car will beep at you when you shut off the car, get out, and then lock the doors. I believe you can turn off this reminder through the instrument cluster. I think I had it turned off, but my car did it to me today, so I think it might get turned back on after a battery failure(I had mine replaced a month ago after it went dead several times).
