I'm almost certain the same connector is still there digital mirror or not. It would take you 2 minutes to pop the cover off to look.

I dont have my P5 yet but was wondering to buy the connector already while going to the states to save on shipping costs.

Even if the connector is the same - couldnt be there a chance, that some "new important" pin is not included yet?

The Dongar only works on models that have an auto-dimming mirror. It shunts into the mirror's power plug.

There is another power plug under the same panel, but it's for Toyota Safety Sense, the Dongar can't use it. Their guide page (expand Toyota / Lexus) has example images.

I read all this but they don't explicitly mention the digital mirror - after all the digital mirror has to send some video from the back of the car that has to got through the same cable. Or is there an exta cable for the video feed?

So far apparently none has experience with the dongle + toyota digital mirror

The wolfbox has its own cable for the rear video signal feed I assume.

Yes, The wolfbox G850 that I got come with a 1080p rearview cam that I attach at the top of back window.
Typical digital mirrors should can with power source cable, GPS unit and rearview cam that all use different cables.
The Dongar adapter just an extra USB type A port that you can use as digital mirror's power source, so you don't have to wire it from any type C ports or fuse box.

So not sure if they updated their instructions or I missed it earlier - no digital rear view mirror. Its sold out anyway

I have a Wolfbox as well, partially installed and getting close the hard wiring. Does this adapter support parking mode, or just while car is on?

Right, they are one of the companies with an adapter that works w/Wolfbox. The key question is if the adapter supports parkinglot mode (meaning there is one power lead that works while the ignition is on, and another power lead that works 24/7 while the car is off.) This would be the way to go to hardwire if it has the 24/7 lead.

Yes, already have it. The discussion has been around wiring the cam/s w/o the need to visit the fuse box. The space by the mirror already has access point to tap into ignition power. Some of the kits (not Wolfbox) tap into the wires/harnesses around the mirror (ie. adaptive cruise control.) It is my understanding these kits do not support parking mode (always on) and was clarifying.

I'd like to wire the dashcam from wires that are already in the vicinity. In theory, there should be an always on dome light wire, in conjunction w/an ignition on wire (adaptive cruise) so no need to bring a wire down; plus, once you tap a fuse box lid never goes back on right and looks like a hack job.

In theory, it would seem the Wolfbox Dashcam could be wired completely from the top, tapping the ADD wire for ignition power, and dome light for always on power (parking mode.) Now, not sure if the amps/watts etc would match. Thoughts?
