What method or scanner did you use to read the errors?

Techstream program from Toyota can show a freeze frame when an error occurs, which will help find the culprit.

Techstream also indicates not just the error number, but also the error subcode number.

Error P0A1D has many subcodes that will more specifically indicate the path to finding the cause of the code.

I used a generic OBDII reader Genius Scan Bluetooth connection to my phone, not sure exactly where I could get my hands on Techstream program from Toyota, can you elaborate on this a little more? Also thanks a lot for the links.

U0293 U0100 U0111 P0A1D Update: I acquired a replacement HV Control (ECU), installed it, and the car would not start. I reinstalled the old one and re-racked connectors on the 20A HEV fuse, engine ECU, and the Gateway. Started the car and drove it for about 5 miles with no issues. I do not believe this is over just yet, I will completely reassemble the car tomorrow and drive it until it fails. I will also check the relay/controller in the hybrid battery box tomorrow and update accordingly.

 

FYI, if you replace the hybrid control ecu, you need an "OE level" scantool to perform a handshake procedure between the HC ecu and the SKS-immobilizer.

Thanks for the info, I was reading on another thread that if you get the exact PN match then you don’t have to do that, is there any truth to that?
