Appreciate the expert advice as always!... 2013 Prius - Right rear tire is showing abnormal wear on the outside half of the tire, close to balding, whereas the inside half has considerable tread remaining. All other tires are wearing evenly and gently unlike the right rear. Alignment inspection indicated all conditions in the acceptable range, no adjustments needed when performed about 2 months ago. Where do I do start?
Let's see a picture of the tire so you know this is happening on the rear it wasn't happening on the front and then got moved to the rear in the wear pattern is continuing usually once a wear pattern starts on a tire it stays usually the front does this If all of your alignment specs are within range and not moving then there's not a whole lot that can be done unless there's frame damage then there would be movement to those alignment specs due to the damage and that would show up when they put the heads on your four wheels not as something being off as an adjustment but something being off as in dented crushed. So there's not a lot that mechanics and Prius people are really going to be able to tell you in this area I don't believe they could actually be a defective tire wearing incorrectly because of whatever goes on inside of tires slipped belts etc what kind of tires are they there's another good question?.
