Apparently my Medicare number has leaked so I've gotten three "medical" calls in the past week. The last one read out my home address, phone number (which they called,) read off part of my Medicare account number, asked the name of my physician, and stopped when I would not give them my birthday ... "I'll call you later. <CLICK>"

With Elon's vandals already in Social Security, it is a rotten time to report my Medicare account number has been compromised. My expectation:
    • "Hello, Medicare I ..."
    • "Too dam bad, I just got laid off. <CLICK>"

    Awww.
    That's too bad Bab.

I remember all of my SF-86 information (and maybe YOURS too!) being scraped and sold during the pre-Trump years.
In addition to every nitpicking detail about your private life, you may recall that Security Clearance Questionnaires DO PROMINENLY INCLUDE your SSN.
(Although the Green Machine took out the dashes!)

I would call you out for lying to a telephone solicitor, but that's a 'two scorpions - one jar' thing.....and besides.....
You hit hard, but you generally hit 'fair' and I have not found you to be a lying liar-face.
This is something that I really cannot say about most people in government.

    One thing about Elon though.....
He seems not to be capable of lying very effectively for some reason.
I personally do not mind him 'saying the quiet part out loud.'
THIS 'might' include the fact that PERHAPS one or two of OUR SOCIAL SECURITY DOLLAHS may not have been wisely distributed.......

It is not a lie to say:
    • "I'm driving my car and don't remember," while driving my car.
    • "I have been told not to tell any stranger on a phone call my birth date."
Getting three, similar phone calls doesn't mean I'm special. Rather, it is the latest scam I've run into.

Everyone over 65 gets Medicare scam calls.

    Why?
It is one of the most successful, easy and profitable ways to steal taxpayer money.

As Medicare fraud spreads, SFla tops US for billions lost; some spent on Lambos and luxe watches

Medicare fraud is an international source of unlimited money for fraudsters and criminals.
Why do many Medicare scam callers have an Indian accent?
Why is it so easy to defraud Medicare?

Remember those unwanted Covid Test Kits that began arriving in Medicare recipients' mailboxes?
Apparent Medicare fraud: Dozens of COVID-19 tests continue arriving in mailboxes across the country - ABC11 Raleigh-Durham

Southern California doctor sentenced to prison in multimillion-dollar hospice fraud scheme.

Office of Public Affairs | Doctor Convicted of $24M Medicare Fraud Scheme | United States Department of Justice

Mr Musk is not the problem - maybe the beginning of a long-awaited solution to Government spending that is out of control.

Why aren't Government Agencies monitored for accountability and proper control of assets and spending of Taxpayer money?
How are so many instances of fraud and waste uncovered in such a short time?
Why are people hysterical about the public revelations and discoveries of widespread Government fraud and waste?

Let's not even begin the hard conversation about the Social Security scam calls and its widespread criminal fraud yet.

It’s not just Medicare or ss scams, seniors are losing billions to all kinds of phone scams.
I’d like to see a task force tackle this problem

Document every detail and line up a personal injury attorney who specializes in these types of cases. One thing we can be certain of right now is millions of people in the US are eventually going to be awarded damages for the level of stupidity that's currently underway.

Them bragging about how they're finding and deleting fraud on computers systems that they don't even understand the coding of is not going to end well for them...

Literally everyone who has a social security number without a birth date on file has a default birthday of 1875 in COBOL, or Common Business-Oriented Language, which is a programming language that's used to write business applications. It's similar to English and was one of the first high-level programming languages and Musks programmers are so stupid they don't even know how the default codes work and told Elon there's a massive amount of people who are 150 years old who are getting social security payments.

In Internet, it becomes time to 'turn up the squelch' ... unless its funny.

I've had solar contractor staff coming and needed to answer "unknown" phone numbers. So I just set the phone to "Silence Unknown Callers."

An ironic thing. Go to their website without logging in. They want your email address, promising not to share it. LOL.
They share everything else about you. That REALLY needs to stop!

    GOOD NEWS!

I called the Medicare number and have a new number coming in a week or so. A nice representative, she laughed and handled my report professionally.

That's great! I usually get directed to my horrific local social security office for Medicare issues. :(

They try here but I have no clue what they want.
Using caller ID, if I don't know who it is, or it says potential spam, I just don't answer the phone.
