Hello suddenly my 2012 prius c has cabin fan keeps running even if i turned off the engine and also my key fob stop working at the same time. Can anyone help to find what is going on the issue?
I do not have a Prius c wiring diagram handy, but someone will probably want to look at that. Toyota Service Information and Where To Find It | PriusChat If it's like the gen 3, the blower motor has a three-position connector, two fat wires and a skinny one in the middle. It has power (by the fat wires) all the time. The skinny wire tells it how fast to run (and shouldn't be telling it to run at all when the car is off). If the motor runs with the two fat wires connected but the skinny one backed out, it would seem the motor is bad. If the motor properly doesn't run without the skinny wire, but connecting the skinny wire makes the motor run even when the car is off, then there would seem to be a wiring problem (the skinny wire may be touching a ground somewhere), or the "A/C amplifier" is signaling the blower to run when it should not.
In the c I don't know. In the gen 3 liftback, there's a climate controls panel module (with the display you see and buttons you push) and the A/C amplifier, which is mounted well forward just above the floor pan and beneath the heater/AC assembly. The wiring diagram will show the locations in the c. Toyota Service Information and Where To Find It | PriusChat
