Part placement after windshield replacement

    Hello,

    I recently got the windshield replaced by Safelight and this device in images doesn't seem to be in correct place because the plastic cover front stick out. Would anyone know what this device is and where it should be placed correctly? I didn't notice it for awhile after windshield replacement.

    Looks aftermarket?
    The plastic cover front being the beige piece?
    Maybe remove the device, attach the cover properly and replace the device.

    Yes, the plastic cover is half snapped on on the front.
