2009 Prius. After disconnecting regular battery, hybrid battery, and inverter to replace abs brake actuator and reassembling everything now the vehicle will not start. It has electrical power but I did note shifter will only go from park to neutral. The vehicle is still storing codes related to the brake actuator. Thank you all for this forum any suggestions would be appreciated

Most common mistake people make after a system shut down like this is not fully locking in the orange safety plug and the clearing the error code that comes up when the orange saftey plug isn't full locked into place.

Is the "ready" sign on the dashboard?

Can you take photos or video of the process when you start the car?

What scantool are you using? What codes for the brake system are present? What codes for the hybrid system are present?

Scan tool is Snap On Solus Edge and the codes stored are C1203, C1252, C1256, C1345, C1392, P0A0D, and B1421.

What PriusCamper poster in post #2. For some reason, a lot of people do not do step 3.

Did these codes set after replacing the actuator? (Did you clear codes at any point?) Did you put a charger on the 12V battery and perform the full "actuator replacement" brake system bleed with the scantool? Did you perform the brake system relearn - initializations with the scantool? Did you install a new or used actuator?

C1203 can mean "hey the hybrid control ecu has codes" (like P0A0D).

C1252 (pump run time too long) & C1256 (accumulator pressure low) are often set when the actuator has an internal leak - & needs to be replaced. Or might result if there's a bunch of air in the system.

C1345 means you have to perform the linear solenoid valve offset relearn.

C1392 is the same for the stroke sensor zero point calibration.

B1421 sets whenever there isn't strong sunlight shining on the HVAC solar sensor on the dashboard.

Hmm. Maybe C1203 can crop up in a situation like that? It's not like C1259 and C1310, the codes that actually mean "hey the hybrid control ecu has codes".

My understanding of C1203 is it means something more like "hey I'm a new skid ECU (or new to this car, or lost my memory and think I'm new) and I tried introducing myself to the HV control ECU and we're not getting along."

But maybe if the HV control ECU has codes of its own, it's saying "hey I'm busy here, go away" and that's why they're not getting along.
