Been trying to figure out the easiest way to change the licenseplate bulbs on my 2017 Prius 4. There are no panels to pop out on the interior panel and I am not sure how to get it off the hatch. (inside panel)
I have searched google and this forum and found nothing.
Any pointers or links would be appreciated.

There are no bulbs; the license plate light assemblies use LEDs. For a replacement assembly, the Toyota part number is 81270-33110, as shown in catalog Figure 81-13, Rear License Plate Lamp.
See the Repair Manual (more info), under Vehicle Exterior: Lighting (Ext): License Plate Light Assembly. You have to remove several interior trim parts and the back door outside garnish first.
