I have been using an FM transmitter to listen to my cell phone while I am driving. In some case radio transmissions, including from other vehicles, interfere. In my first generation Prius I have I took off the antenna completely because it was especially bad because it had an extra long antenna and seemed especially bad. Since being removed, it has been far better. I likely should put something in the hole where it was mounted in order so it does not rust however. Thinking of removing the antenna from my newer car as well.

Thinking of getting something like this unless someone has an alternative

I came up with a cheaper option.

Bought a pack of short M5 .80 bolt and pack of 5/16 rubber caps. Just put the bolt on top of where the antenna screws and put the rubber cap on top.

FWIW... have you considered a Bluetooth receiver that plugs into aux? I can pretty much gaurantee the sounds quality will improve! I use for now this device and its plugged into the USB port next to the aux input.

something tells me the night and difference sound quality youll get will be pretty remarkable honestly.

to your original ask... I havent seen anything to antenna delete but I plan on replacing mine with a sharkfin antenna that has FM/AM, GPS and.... drum roll! LTE antenna and WiFi antenna!!!

When I drive my roommate's car, hers has a Bluetooth aux plug. For some reason, it will connect to my cell phone but will not play sound when I try to play music or podcasts. You also have to run power from an aux outlet to power it. Maybe I could do better but her wiring is a bit of a mess. She requires two USB cables. One to power the Bluetooth aux plug and the other to power the cell phone wireless charger.

this it's your phone and the BT chipset thats installed... for instance my Note 20 5G Ultra has never had any issues connecting to OBD2 dongles and all others... yet the Samsung A23 and sometimes the Moto G Power have had issues enough times I know the tell tell signs. Especially if the Note works without issue on the same BT device.
