That tone ring needs to be in alignment with the sensor You should have codes if it's not worth for some reason it's seeing is everything is okay that's pretty strange

You'll be able to tell is the CV axle is the wrong part when you get the new one you ordered and compare the two. Same with the control arm.
The thing you mentioned a few posts ago about the angle of the ball joint (and the picture of it ) combined with the statement that you had seated the outer CV shaft into the hub all the way, but it slipped out again (( man that was a kicker )) I'd never heard of that happening, much less experienced it myself.

When I mentioned in my first post to your thread here, that if the CV spline slips out, even a little, the car wouldn't move, I was referring to the inner CV axles spline where it goes into the transmission. I hadn't firgured out at that point this was all about the Hub / outer CV connection.

I'm glad @Tombukt2 was able to explain things that give you more confidence in replacing the axle and control arm. I've done a few of those replacements ( CVs / axles ) on non toyota cars, and they are nice when everything fits together properly, not so nice ( when they don't fit right ) or slip out. Yeah, I've been there.

Don't forget to check / replace that ball, if you are pretty sure it has play.

Probably not enough worth discussing does Pop the one out after you have all the front end of it pretty much ready to pull right out and pop that transmission end out pull on the hub and strut and the spline pulls out and sling the axle out sling the other one up in there and put the transmission end in first You've got to make sure you clock that little lock ring the right way generally it right at 6:00 so when it goes in the circle can just gently close and snap in place

I've read the same thing recently about the C clip at the end of the spline that goes into the trans. The opening in that clip usually is know to slip into the slightly beveled transmission hole when that opening in the clip is closest to the ground at 6 o'clock on the dial.
Hope ya get that extreme toe in back into line, whatever it turns out to be that made it so far out. ;)

Well look at what I found out for sure
Look at these pictures side by side Comparison, New ordered Prius C axle, and the one I took out.
I got everything changed new axle in , I put bearing grease on the end with the clip pointing open down and got it locked in with a little help with a mallet this axle had little did it on the side to be able to used to knock it in. Drained the remaining trans fluid and put new , align the tires, the best I could using a string. I still have yet to take it for a drive yet. I just finished everything today. I’m crossing my fingers
