Car salesmen will say just about anything to get you to sign the sales documents on a car. That being said and since your on the gen4 forum, I'm going to assume that your talking about used car clean vehicle credit. My best advice is for you to read the IRS code and guidelines yourself. There's a lot of hooks and got-ya's; like in most tax codes. I believe there's also an income cap too, that'll disqualify you. So unless that car salesman is also your accountant - he can't just say that you qualify for that credit. Hope this helps..... FWIW; Trump is saying he wants to repeal 'the green new deal' of which this may be a part of - then again he says a lot of things..... So if you need that Clean vehicle credit to make this deal work, you probably shouldn't be buying it, because it may vanish overnight.
