Gave both alloy wheels and aero covers a good clean today. The covers need a small pry bar with the end covered and you pull the trim at the same time. Put a towel on the ground incase you drop one... Used a mild alloy and plastic cleaner with a soft brush to clean them up. For information, the actual diameter of the cover is 17.75" and the metal inner clip is 16". Thought I'd include this incase there's an interesting possibility of replacement in the future. The centre bore diameter of the hub is 55mm and it's the same front and rear. I much prefer the aero covers. The wheel and tyre combination doesn't suit the car IMO.
Those bare rims are a bit “clunky”. Odd crisscross pattern on them. And they’re so open that the rough-finished calipers and rotors are in-your-face.
I never did like wheel covers, same with these. That looks like a very large offset on those wheels, what is it 55mm? At least the wheels look like they're gunmetal gray, looks better than silver or black IMO. SM-G781V ?
Toyota was a “leader” with wheel covers on aluminum alloy rims, first I heard of it was 2010, wandering around dealership lot, perusing the near-mothballed Prius. That tipped us to get the 17” rim model.
