Strange. This owner must've almost never driven it. My 06 is about to turn a year old is close to 15K miles already.
Carfax is listing 11 records, dmv.org 9. That's a lot for a car with only 7000 miles. I'd suggest buying a full report edit, actually http://www.carfax.com/...JT2BK18U920057552
I am just curious, How did this car fail emissions testing at approximately 5500 miles? That is sort of strange..
sounds like a good deal and since it was the owners 3rd car, sounds like it was a commuter only car. wonder why they sold it?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(CapeCodPrius @ Jan 14 2007, 12:58 AM) </div> If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is. A five year old car with only 6700 miles? Even a third car would see more use than this. Was it not being driven because it was in pieces after surviving a hurricane or something?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(CapeCodPrius @ Jan 14 2007, 07:05 AM) </div> Let's see.. his FIRST service was a year and 1,303 miles later. The second service was the following year. He did TWO services while in ownership. Gotta wonder if he took it on a rally course. Why did the suspension need to be serviced?
On ebay the dealer says they do not buy autos at auction. On the carfax report linked above it shows Prius was sold at auction on Dec 12th. Is the buy it now price of $15,900 an amazing deal for a five year old (basically far from brand new) Prius? I'm assuming the warranty left is for the battery since it's over 3 years old. Last year I could have gotten a base 06 for about $23,500 out the door less 3150 tax credit would be $20,350 with a full factory warranty. So is it worth the $4450 difference?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(koa @ Jan 14 2007, 01:12 PM) </div> Good catch. I didn't notice the Carfax report. This along w/the failed emissions check makes the car look VERY fishy.
