Hoping to get some clarity. I’m about to replace the inverter/converter and there are two part numbers G9200-47120 & G9200-47121. One is for “thru 04/07” (month of manufacture) the other is for “05/07”onward.
I have a thru 04/07 and was told by Toyota it’s the …-4721. Does it matter or will either part be compatible? Thanks!

G9200-47120 has been discontinued for a long time.
G9200-47121 was later produced as an analogue of the replacement.
It makes no difference what you install. You will have to look for G9200-47120 on the dismantled car market.
G9200-47121 can also be found on the dismantled car market, or from the manufacturer's dusty warehouse.

You want the one that the Toyota dealer is telling you that you should buy You want me to trump the Toyota dealers discussion and tell you something else seriously That's pretty good. So you'd like someone here at Prius chat to override the dealer with exactly what I know more than the dealer does That's rich. Or are you thinking something got hidden in the discussion with the dealer parts person? Again pretty good stuff

I’m only asking because when I went looking on the market again after talking to the dealer, there were listings that had the other number, saying it was compatible. The dealer didn’t clearly explain, hence me posting here. I also know the dealer wanted 5k for a part on a 17yr old vehicle that I can buy for a few hundred dollars second hand and put on myself, so yes, I will question the person I spoke with. Dealer or not, he didn’t explain. The prior comment answered my question, but thanks for your input. Enjoy your weekend.

If you were anywhere around where I live you'd be getting it for free so you just want the latest part number the ones discontinued obviously you can't get blah blah blah I mean and nobody's paying 5K unless well we're just that type of way.
