This is a long shot but does anyone know of any scrap yard or have any pointers on where I could find used parts for a Prius Prime in the US?

I've tried car-part.com but it seems all the Gen5 Prius parts there are HEV and I cannot seem to find a PHEV. I am looking for a cluster/speedometer for the PHEV.

Hey there, eBay would probably be your best bet. I’ve seen couple, just message the seller and see if they can take it off for you, cheers!

Thanks but sadly I can't seem to find a PHEV on ebay. I've checked the part numbers and the VIN they provide and for some reason they're all HEV. Most of the crashed ones are even LE. I'm hoping someone has a lead for a PHEV in the US but I haven't been able to find one anywhere so far except the scam ones on FB.

There simply isn't that many of the PHV that have been sold in North America.

One just popped up in Roseville, California. A white XSE. You should be able to find it on car-part now. As far as I can tell, it's the first Prime to hit a major salvage yard.

It's so close to what I need, but not quite. I need either an XSE closer to me, or preferably an XSE+ anywhere. I want the seats and steering wheel, but I'd much rather do a trade with the parts I have(I've got no need for two sets of seats). I could theoretically swap seat covers, but it would be so much easier to just swap the entire seat. It's the difference between 1-2 hours of work per seat versus maybe 15-30 minutes.

I was wanting to locate a previous gen prime in a wrecker to remove the dog clutch to investigate if I could repurpose it.

primes of all years are rare invwreckers

There's also a gray SE in Redding, California at LKQ.

    TL ; DR : Ebay.

I'll leave the import/export speculations for the liberatti...... ;)

They probably sell more PHEV G5s here than there because you're only about 12% of our population - or a little bit bigger than California - by population.
The good news is that the current administration would never want Canada to be our 51st state because your nation's population is rising and California's is dropping off.
The resulting re-districting and two Senator seats would skew the political landscape off to the left and plunge us into the dark days of the Warren Court and near perpetual leftist legislature.

    SO.....
There are lots of PHEVs down here but the problem is that parts demand is so very high that if a G5 gets into an accident then people are scrambling to buy parts off of the car while they're still falling onto the road.
This is due to a combination of lingering supply chain issues and the fact that Priuses have a glass jaw.

Most of the parts houses have eBay pages for those parts that are not snatched up by repair shops.
Expect in some cases to pay nearly what you might be charged from the mothership.

    Good Luck!
