I have to share what an amazing vehicle our 2008 is. For winter driving I have dedicated Michelin snow tires on steel wheels. For the holidays we visited San Diego. On our return we encountered bad weather North of Wichita. We were trying to beat it leaving Albuquerque at 4a. Unfortunately we had an incident in Emporia where we slide in a turn and drove over a median. Blew the LF tire and damaged the wheel. I threw the spare on and we tried to continue but she did not drive right. We spent the night at a hotel and in the morning I swapped the spare to the LR and put a good snow on the LF. I noticed the lower control arm on left was bent but nothing else appeared damaged. We decided to take the chance on the 120mi drive home. It was snowing and only forecast to get worse. AAA had already let us know the tow had cancelled due to extreme weather forecast. We didn't want to be stuck for days in Emporia. We drove 7hrs at about 20mph but made it back to KCMO. Luckily the weather was so bad no one was on the road. I can guarantee we would not have been able to make it without the snow and snow tires. I have done the restack and balance of hybrid battery. New 12v battery. Replaced struts on all four corners. Both front wheel bearings. Both lower ball joints. L lower control arm replaced. R lower control arm rebushed. Front pads and rotors. Replaced all fluids. And a catch can.
