... delete, delete, delete. Time for a little housecleaning, clearing spyware apps off your handheld: Texas Sues Allstate For Secretly Tracking Drivers Through Apps, Using Data To Raise Rates | ZeroHedge This one caught me, completely by surprise. I had no idea, I never suspected my Gas Buddy app, was really spyware -- Samuel, '04 Ruthiemobile
Thanks, need to inform my auto insurance of my mileage so I keep getting this low rate. They always send a reminder letter and your rate will go up unless you file your actual miles driven. I tend to forget to report my low miles. Allstate seems to be logically catching scofflaws who drive a bunch and are getting the rates of people who drive less. Good, don’t need socialism where someone else gets free stuff.
That horse was turned into glue a LONG time ago - and it's NOT JUST Gas Buddy. How do you think CarFax gets their info? Allstate had ...um.... 'image problems' in the Gulf South even before their disastrous Sugar Bowl fiasco this year. This is probably why they spent gigabucks in their 'mayhem' CFP ads. I suspect that we're about to hear some of the same stories about the 'good hands people' following the wildfires behind the tinsel curtain. Read those policies carefully, kids! Interestingly enough I was already encouraging my CFO to 'start seeing other people' because of ANOTHER insurance company that is spending millions (billions?) of money for college football ads - because my present company (USAA) seems to have lost track of how and why they got started in the first place.
It’s interesting how the right wing misinterprets everything. Good for Allstate keeping costs down for the honest customers. If it is even true they were secretly doing anything. More power to them if they find cheaters. Cheaters raise everyone’s insurance.

Oh? Which car might that BE? All four of my GMCs have IMEI numbers and collect data - including my 06 Envoy(*.) What car does NOT collect data and rat you out??? (*) FORTUNATELY I am an Electronics Tech with some humble ability to identify and ...... I do not suppose that the vehicle is not still collecting 'all the things' but I can still make it a lot harder for them!
My 2012 Prius v 2 has no internet connection. Many older cars that use 3G LTE can no longer connect either with the shutdown of 3G. Any logged data in the car's ECU would need a court order to be released.
Yep. That means that you'd better keep the G3 on the road for a looooooong time. Hope the EGR loop doesn't fail you.
