Finally found a way to repair and not replace the brake booster and brake pumps.
Will update more in the next few weeks with procedures and results.

Yeah there's a bunch of people claiming this Just get it right first and let's see what you got when you get there I mean on Fiji you may have a whole lot of time a lot of other places in the world people don't have that kind of time generally they need the car fixed and working generally the Prius stops anyway mine drove 100,000 miles with all the brake lights lit up never a problem stop like a brand new car but there was something internal that was a miss It needed a new one of the two parts on the generation 3 then the engine blew up so we didn't have to fix it thank goodness because if I would have fixed the brakes then the engine would have blown next and I'd be completely in the red on a car that's not worth keeping for the most part so it worked out well. There are other people and other countries in the Middle East that claim they can do this we're all waiting to see what it is they're doing. Or at least I'm waiting to see what they're doing.

Pretty sure refurbished ones for the Gen 3 are already offered by some larger companies. Welcome to the forum.

Nice first post, though, for anyone interested in repairing their own DIY.
Kinda like someone screaming they found the cure for cancer, then tell you they'll provide details next month.

Yes, I know of one shop anyway that has a presence on PriusChat and has been offering a rebuild service for the actuators. They have not publicized what they found to be the issue or how they accomplish the rebuild. I understand the commercial reasons for that decision, while at the same time I am more likely to trust the braking of my car to a rebuild procedure that has been disclosed.

I recently saw a video of a guy in Thailand repairing a Prius actuator. He took it apart and showed an aluminum plate that has o rings built into it and that is what he replaced. Fingers crossed this works.

If it can be built, and is built, it can be repaired. But, at what cost?
And how well can it be repaired?
