    Hi Guys,

    On a morning commute I got a solid ABS, BRAKE, and Slip Indicator dash lights for about half the commute. Evening commute back home had no lights on. No firm observable on the brake system so far, all appears normal.

    Here are the DTCs as read out by the jumper wire method:
    • Slip Indicator Light -> 43
    • ABS warning Light-> 33 & 38
    • Brake system warning light -> 36
    Just last week, I did swap in snow tires & rims for the first time. Lights appeared about 1 week later.

    Could someone point me to where in the repair manual the real DTCs are stored? Other ideas as too root cause?

    Thanks,

    -kehyler

    I normally recommend 94 year olds from blah seek qualified help or maybe stop driving. Can't contribute to possible injuries caused by diy in a critical system.

    I would get a capable scanner (usually Techstream) that read the actual dtcs and info codes.

    Several at once usually means one is causing the others

    "When 2 or more DTCs are detected, perform circuit inspections one by one until the problem is identified."

    In most cases on gen3s, the brake booster fails.

    ^I thought the flashing lights indicated specific DTCs? I just don't know where in the repair manual that lookup table is.

    You thought right. Our page about the blink codes already tells you about the VSC 43 and ECB 36 blinks, which both just mean "hey, there are real codes on the ABS light, go look at those."

    As for the 33 and 38 on the ABS, you're also right that you'll find the corresponding DTCs in the repair manual. The blink code page linked above shows you how.
