    A $100k BEV was announced by Sony–Honda Mobility.

    It will be end-to-end autonomous based on Qualcomm's chips.

    Preorders are being taken in California now—availability next year.

    what does afeela stand for

    It looks likes Honda's answer to the Tesla. I wouldn't be surprised if it shares a lot of it's underpinnings with the Prologue. Honda knows how to build cars. IMHO, they're weak on the software side of things - that's where Sony comes in. Sony is great in the consumer electronics space. It makes sense, but can they pull it off?

    The Prologue uses GM's platform. With the release date, this might be using Honda's own BEV platform.

    I remember the first time I heard of the Honda / GM partnership, was it 2012? I know I was gettting the civic hybrid serviced at the dealer when I heard. Crossovers where just starting to show up on Honda dealer lots.

    Yes, so that they would be eligible for the Biden tax credits, which are probably going away in eleven days; so, it probably won’t help.
