What are acceptable specs for the hybrid battery? I am still waiting for my autel to arrive and am using the fixd with dr prius. From what i can gather i am in a good zone but honestly i dont know. the bottom numbers all show 17.x but the bars all are green but the 1st one. And i am not too sure exactly what the app is showing me. I did get the famous need new battery p08a0 code and dr prius showed that code p3000 was there which didnt show with the fixd doggle.

I am not sure if the whole moving and being towed may have done something wonky to it. I do know though that i think the inverter pump is going bad. From the right side under the hood it sounds like i missing a motor mount or like stuff is crashing/thrashing.

Dr prius showed no engine codes when i checked that part.

My head hurts due to the last 4 hrs of reading forum posts via search threads with : P3000 and P0A80.

Kinda just want to up my insurance and do something stupid to it and be done.

Oh and it is a 2009 with 195,500 miles on it give or take. Its Japan made and makes me sad and needs a katana so can go out the proper way.

Here's some more reading for ya, sorry bout that.

Not sure it will help much in the state you and the car are in, but hey, might be worth a shot in the dark anyway.

FYI, I got a fixd a few years ago since I lost one of my 2 adapters. I didn't have much luck wtih the fixd adapter.
If I remember right, Jack at DrPrius listed fixd as one not to buy. You can check yourself
    Dr. Prius App
    see ODB2 to buy
in the menu at the very top of the page.

Finally, step back from the things for a while and regroup. When you're ready dig into it again with a fresh perspective about the whole mess.

So, the Hybrid vehicle Control ecu (the boss of the entire hybrid drive system) sets P3000 when the High Voltage battery ecu has codes (in this case it has the P0A80).

The HV battery pack is made up of 28 Ni-MH modules (nominal 7.2V each) that are monitored un pairs called "blocks".

P0A80 sets when the battery ecu sees the difference between battery block voltages (the highest value minus the lowest) exceeds about 0.3V for more than "a few seconds". The higher the difference, the less time before it codes.

Dr Prius shows that battery block data, including the "VOLT DIFF" value. Typically when a cell in a (sealed) module fails, that block voltage will be lower than the others by 1.0-1.5V, and might only show bad when discharging the pack.

There are MANY threads on the forums about battery "repair". I have done it, once, never again. Last time I got a new Toyota pack and have had zero problems since.
