Recently made a very foolish mistake in judgment and drove after drinking. I refused a blood test and subsequently have had my driving privileges taken away for a year. I will feel guilty about this for the rest of my life. No one was hurt except may car got pretty mashed up by a guardrail. I feel ashamed and terrible.

My question is about the ignition interlock device (IID). I got a feeling I will be faced with installing this device in order to drive to work. I've read some posts here but was wondering if there is anything new re: these devices and their compatibility with a Gen 2 Prius.

We all have made some bad choices. I got my share of them. Believe you me. I’ve got a customer that has a 07 with it. If that helps. My problem is with how it runs his 12 volt down all the time. I sold him this car. It was my personal driver. No issues with the 12 volt before hand. Had a new 12 volt in it when I bought it. No issues always started Just as soon as he had the interlock installed he had to replace 12 volt. He goes to South America about once a month. While his prius is parked at the airport for ten days. The battery goes dead. He has aaa and they keep selling him a new 12 volt. Saying the last one was junk now. So I’d say there must be a place to hook up to and one not to hook up too. Lol
