My 2021 Prime has 30,000 miles. I did not hit a pot hole or anything. There is no visible signs of damage. Suddenly I am noticing a vibration at all speeds. I'm guessing a wheel is out of balance, or maybe a weight fell off? just a guess. Any tricks to check this out? or any way of telling which tire it might be? I could bring it to a tire shop but I'm guessing there would be some high charge to diagnose the problem alone with a sales pitch for new tires. Thank you in advance for any help.
I went through the steps of replacing a rear wheel brg to try and fix a vibration/noise problem, but it returned the next trip down the freeway. I went to the trouble of ordering a full set of replacement brgs, stripped out the offending rear wheel, only to find it was now egg shaped. Seems the problem started with a case separation when hot but reattached on the slow run back to the workshop I'm guessing and eventually it didn't seal itself back together. My advice, go to a dismantler and buy a good second hand wheel and tyre. Progressively swap out the wheel you think the problem is coming from first, if that isn't it, put the original back on and try the next, until you find it. If the problem changes but there are still signs with two different tyre positions, chances are you have two faulty tyres .... T1 Terry
