Well done engine out video to replace 2010-14 low tension rings and pistons with revised parts. Engine had 181k miles.

He reports it went from 1 quart every 1,500 miles to 1/4 quart every 9,000 miles. $600 in parts. Kit in TSB-0169-16

Includes good assembly tips and clear video for a head gasket and timing chain job.

    Reinstalling engine

in part 2, around 7:20 he mentions the head bolt driver as being "a triple square". While that seems to work, it's not optimum; Toyota specs a 10 mm double-hex, which is readily available.

like the occasional "subliminal" bits. :)

Should this be in gen 3 maintenance sub-forum?
