Complete Gen 5 (2023+) Repair Manual Available

    It’s done.

    This is the complete repair manual for all trims and configurations (LE, XLE, LTD, AWD / PHEV). It includes guides for premium features as well (panoramic glass roof, digital rearview mirror etc.)

    I also duplicated the Dealership Accessory Guides (PPF, Homelink mirror), Quick Training Guides, and TSB’s. The complete list of all DTC explanations and troubleshooting steps are also included.

    The compressed file is just under 1GB and almost 4000 PDFs in total. Every file is named and organized as it appears in the TIS directory.

    All in all this cost me multiple TIS subscriptions, two full weekends wasted, and the resurgence of an old right shoulder injury to get this done. Fun stuff.

    No kidding! Each subsection needs to be downloaded separately, and there are thousands of them.

    TSS 3.0 added a TON of complexity to this car. Something as simple as replacing a bumper cover is no longer simple, as you'll see.

    Oh, replacing bumper covers with ultrasound sensors has never been simple. The dealer will charge you eight hours of service for recalibrating the sensors unless you do it through a insurance company.

    Luckily, when I removed my rear bumper cover on my 2021 Prius Prime Limited to replace the combined lamp, I didn’t have to touch the sensors; so, the calibration did not change.

    Not too shabby! Next up should be the electrical and wiring diagrams, often more useful than the repair manual.

    Put them altogether as a couple of searchable pdfs and you will have a winner that could be sold on ebay as a link. I used to do that on some construction equipment which had ridiculous faded hand drafted drawings the company wanted hundreds to buy.

    I had considered adding the full electrical (TIS website gives you live circuit simulation) and collision repair sections but ultimately did not. I think both of these are beyond the scope of what the average DIYer will use. If I had the extra time I would have but when I tell you it took me 2 full weekends I mean it. I was physically exhausted.

    I'll be a little upset if folks are chasing down electrical issues with this car less than 2 years after it rolled out of the factory. But knowing how modern Toyotas are now I would not be surprised. Maybe I'll duplicate the rest one day or someone else can step up and finish it off.

    The main reason I wanted the repair manual myself was torque specs and disassembly procedures so instead of yanking off parts on a new car I can actually go at it informed.

    The New Car Features manual is an overlooked gem. PriusChatters love talkin' about things that got improved or added and how.

    Thanks for the reply to my messaging and help downloading the manual zip file and the pointer to install and use 7-zip to extract the pdf files from the zip. mucho info there.

    (I cannot edit the original post in this forum so I'll post it here)

    The BLUE INFO buttons in the manual are a direct links to a PDF on Toyota's Website which requires access that you do not have.
    However, every PDF that exists online also exists within the repair manual folder.

    If you hover your mouse over the BLUE info box it will give you the name of the PDF it refers to. You can then search for that within the repair manual folder in Windows.

    The caveat is that you cannot have file names with special characters like colons or slashes. Omit them in the search and file name should be exactly the same.     HOW TO SEARCH MANUAL.jpg
