Hi. My rear spoiler is very loose and I'm worried it will fall off when I'm drving. Is there anyway to tighten it? I think I will tape it down temporarily to prevent me losing it altogether.
In the service manual, the exterior section page 18 it shows that that is held on by 3 clips (far left, far right, dead center) and 4 bolts (two on each side). Imagine placing a ruler labeled with integers 1 through 7 such that 1 and 7 are at the far ends of the spoiler. The clips are at 1, 4, and 7, and the bolts are at 2,3,5, and 6. Approximately. Disassembly instructions say to remove the spoiler remove the rear wiper arm, then the lower and upper hatch interior panels, then take the bolts out, and lastly "detach the clips with a taped screwdriver". I have never done this myself and assume that means pry the spoiler up using that tool. This video may be helpful:
