Those are all gone because of the fire sale prices. I believe all their Teslas are gone too. The only EV they have for sales are Bolts and possibly Leafs.

The electric supply to a lot of residences in Japan is lacking for EVs. Prius plug ins can take twice as long as Level 1 in North America. The people that do buy EVs buck the domestic dominance trend, and get import brands. Suspect they find the Japanese brand EVs as lacking for price as most do here.

Did hear Toyota was designing for China, but suspect sales are running into the same issues there too.

Car dealers around here advertise used Bolts and in the fine print the price shown includes $4000 off for tax rebate. Makes me not want to buy from those dealers.
High miles but hows this for 16 k if qualify for the 4000 tax help. A 2023 probably used hard but well kept. Not bad at all.

And you could knock off a few more grands off, if you don't mind a Subaru badge vs Toyota badge

FWIW, looks like a hole in that Tesla bumper - They don't call them rental racers 4 nothing, but you probably got a new set of tires on it:D:LOL::ROFLMAO::sick::whistle:

We've never abused our rentals, the most recent being a very large Subaru SUV (relatively speaking.... & compared to Subarus of the past) but yea certainly that does go on.
I'll bet the Lexus version of the bz is nice - features wise based on our prior experience between the Highlander Hybrid versus the Lexus hybrid version. But then there's that whole issue of cost versus Range & charge speed & Sub 0°f charging capability that comes into play - presuming used ones are still costing over $35k. That'd be a decent price for the 450e AWD version. Being in the market, we'd maybe look at that.

One professional auto reviewer said that it seemed to him like they designed this electric car to meet the needs of all their existing parts manufacturers, rather than designing it to eliminate as many parts as possible, which is the smartest way to lower the total cost of the vehicle.

A poor choice of words but telling of someone's EV motivation. They still have "hemlock", "caster bean", and "oleander."

I always think of dark thick drapes when I think of nightshade rather than fruit or vegetables. I've seen some folks in run down hoods that wrap aluminum foil over cardboard & use that as window inserts to keep out light. Was never certain if they were working graveyard, or Tweakers not wanting to let people know they were awake, or working on their Harley in the middle of their living room.
    Nightshades, LOL

Wait .... does that mean Toyota didn't know their audience? mumbled letters & jumbled number names? I vote they just call it the solterra as they're very similar vehicles anyway.
It looks like solterra is dumping their prices as well ($6,500), so they can move inventory.
SUBARU ANNOUNCES PRICING ON 2025 SOLTERRA ELECTRIC SUV WITH SIGNIFICANT PRICE REDUCTION.
Too bad they don't qualify for existing tax credits as that would make it a good price.

I ran a reply through the old word salad generator, and it came up with:

The initial data had to be gathered for early adopters. The cynical posters forget that these inital adopters were not consumers but dealers and parts counter people. Now that data has been gathered, Toyota will reassess and adopt the name to target actual consumers who want things like decent charging speeds and decent range. Enthusiasts who like glove boxes and quality interiors will be disappointed but remember, like Gen 3 prius, Toyota is adopting the roll out to match demand of prosumer expecations.

You can buy a used, low mileage one on the Hertz car sales lot for mid to lower $20K, and qualify for the $4K federal used EV credit. EVs are supposed to be lower maintenance and don't break - so it should be a win-win.......(y)
If your price conscious, the same goes for the Chevy Bolts, even cheaper, but I think I would prefer Subaru's AWD.....
