I got the CHECK HYBRID SYSTEM and Yellow Triangle on Sunday 12/15/24, car has been driving fine. No issues. Took it to the dealership and they said it was my ABS Actuator/Pump Assembly, $1975.00 was the quote. So my husband bled my brakes a few months ago and didn't use the scan tool, which can cause the scanner to show as a bad actuator. I've been driving the car since I got it back yesterday, it feels fine and I don't hear anything out of the ordinary but the alert came back in the evening. Do yall think that the improper brake bleed could be the issue or is my actuator actually bad? Car has 103k miles.
Did the dealership include the trouble codes that they found on the paperwork that you received? If so, please tell us what the trouble codes are.
You might be right, it wouldn't hurt and its the way cheaper option. Just don't want to take it back to Toyota, can any mechanic do it as long as they have the scan tool?
