My BRAKE- ABS- VSC- Warning Lights having on for 3 months now. I notice nothing different or irregular while driving it? Prius is running great with the BRAKE- ABS- VSC- Warning Lights on the dash. ***See attached picture bellow.
My current Prius had the same lights on. Scared away a bunch of buyers when I bought it last year, but it didn't have any braking issues. I believe the brake booster was pumping more frequently than expected, so I did worry it might need a master cylinder with bake booster. I went through the brake test with tech stream and it exercised the system well enough that the lights went off. Its been about a year since and no issues.
2010 solar roof car same issue brakef perfectly . And I couldn't tell the pump was running any kind of crazy even when it was next to my 2013 Persona but no matter it ran and drove and braked perfectly so we just left it alone.
Are you trying to see how long you can drive it with the warning lights on before you notice a problem? We can start a pool where everyone can put in a dollar and guess a date when the car starts having a driving problem. The person closest to the actual date wins the money. Who's in?
Are you still trying to guess what the problem is after 3 months? Have you made any progress? https://priuschat.com/index.php?posts/3479921 https://priuschat.com/index.php?posts/3494664
I consider brakes to be more than a little bit important. Personally I might be curious as to why the ecu has decided to turn those warning lights on. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I just be waiting for the beat tone to come on permanently I got a 2010 sitting outside under the same conditions We know something's broke or something's being reported is out of spec perfect we're going to wait and see if it goes further out of speck until we get it beep or the car blows up It's a generation 3 so we're voting on the car blowing up sooner than the brakes going out It's a toss up at this point it's right at 350 plus K and the engine blew up or blew the head gasket and all the nonsense at 396 and all the brake lights were still on so we parked the car without doing 15,600 worth of break work and ran it out to just below 400k doing all that delivery crap during the pandemic That's the only way this car made it to $396 K It would have been sitting in my driveway it would have blowed up at 165,000 If you keep this car three sheets in the wind you'll make 400k soon as you start driving it to work and parking at most of the day that's when all your business goes out the window It's what it seems like anyway especially with the threes
