I'm trying to figure out a clunk on my 2014 CT200h. It is a faint clunk going over small imperfections on the road and I am able to replicate the sound going slow and turning the wheel left to right quickly.

I have checked everything at this point and I'm getting ready to order a steering rack. I was just hoping maybe someone here has had this issue because I see a few threads with Prius having bad steering racks.

I have checked the steering shaft joints, the bolts even replaced the small plastic steering damper. The suspensions is all tight with no play in any of the tie rods. Sway bar links are new (Took off the sway bar and the sound was still there) New struts and top plates as well.

Here is a clip of the sound:

Finally found the source of the noise. Sway bar bushing was worn out.

Okay, you said: "Took off the sway bar and the sound was still there"

Did you not notice that the bushing were worn out when you took it off? (n)

Yes, I misdiagnosed it. That was 2 months ago when I first started hearing it and it wasn't as noticeable until recently. Took off the sway bar links again but this time I had a closer look at the bushings and that was my problem all along. At least I have a fresh front suspension now after 145k lol
