I have been thinking about getting a new Prius for a while now and today I was in the local dealership. They price matched a Prius I was looking at at another dealership across the other side of the state, and even bettered it a tiny bit. Decided just to go ahead and do it. I got a lovely silver 2013 Prius four. Lots to learn about it. The owner's manual looks like The Entertainment Book (the one with all the coupons in it) and is 640 pages!!!
Congrats! I just did the same thing 5 days ago. Now granted, I use to own a 2010 Prius V (now the five) and I got a wild hair myself and purchased a winter gray prius four with the solar roof package. I'm really loving the improvements over the 2010 that I previously owned, especially the seats. They certainly feel a bit more contoured and seem to have better padding from what I remember! Scott
"Congrats on ur new Prius. What was ur previous Prius?" I had a 2007 Prius (purchased 12/2006). I actually have the 2007 in my garage right now and I am cleaning out all my personal stuff. I have buyer's remorse right now as I do love that Prius. Hopefully I will feel the same way with the new one soon. This new Prius seems too technical for me!! P.S. Though I have not posted very much, I've been reading Prius Chat for years; I told several people at the dealership yesterday that the people here at Prius Chat know more about the Prius than you do.
Got me a 2013 Prius Four Thursday afternoon. Barcelona Red. Full package including VIP 3200 alarm(people breaking into cars at work to steal items). Also went for the Ekoguard exterior/interior protection. Untitled 1 Said goodbye to my 2005 Prius blue baby.
Just took delivery of a 2013 Prius - Touring Package (Canada) on Wednesday. My first Prius. Told the wife I feel like the pilot of a high tech energy device, rather than driving a car. Love it so far.
I know exactly what you're saying. I had my beautiful 2009 smashed into and totalled by the insurance company. I loved that car so much and have such wonderful memories of our travels in it. After the insurance settlement (grrrrrr) I bought a PiP. Even though it's a better car technically I still don't love it like I did my old one. Perhaps it's just that the 2009 was my first and I'll always love it better....do not know.
