In Vermont that doesn't surprise me part of the rust capital they last about two or three years there and then strut towers are rusted out and can't be driven on and on We might see newer Priuses like 2023s and the like but a generation too yeah probably not much because the people that would be driving something like that must be coming down south to get them to drive them for 3 to 4 years before they rust out.
Can't imagine that. Where I live (Manchester, UK) every other car is a Prius taxi . . . and an old one!
West coast still has plenty of Gen2 Prius on the road primarily because we don't have salt on the roads in Winter.... As in its not the car that is the problem, it's the weather. Same thing is true in many different ways in forestry as well!
Here in the UK, gen 2 taxis aren’t possible. We have a min car age of about 12-15 years for it to legally be used as a taxi. There a some gen 3 taxis, but a lot of gen 4 taxis here. They’re mostly Japanese imports. I want a 4th gen Prius after my current gen 2 bites the dust. But I’d want a UK model, not an import.
