How to interpret these ECB light codes?

This is about Prius 2010, 142K miles.

I got three blinking lights on the dashboard after starting the car yesterday. Then I used the "shorting" method described in other threads, and thoroughly read all the codes. Two of the lights produced meaningless codes, which just redirect to ((!)) ECB light codes, which were:

    11, 52, 56

The vehicle drives normally, no noticeable changes.

    What do these codes mean?

I hope I'm not the only member around who can do a search in a PDF of the manual; I've been out of town and on the road a lot lately.

All it takes is a search for /11 or /52 or /56 (those searches work because the codes in the manual are shown like C1311/11 and C1252/52 and C1256/56, etc., where the part after the / is the blink code). Then (for brake codes), page back to the top of the table you landed in to make sure it's the right one (ABS, ECB, or VSC). There's more on this on the Blink (a/k/a Flash) Codes – How to. | PriusChat page.

C1252 is about the ECU trying to run the pump for an abnormally long time, and C1256 is about the accumulator pressure being low. Might make the usual assumptions about what those mean; on the other hand, C1311 is about an open in the ABS main relay 1 circuit, and I'd probably want to explore that first and make sure everything's getting power before jumping to conclusions about the accumulator and pump.

I have been trying to locate ABS main relay 1 in Prius 2010, and I could not. I found info about its location in Gen 2 vehicles, but Gen 3 is obscure. None of the relays in the engine compartment are marked as related to ABS. Please, help.

Some of the brake-related relays in gen 3 are internal to the brake booster/ECU. Not remembering which ones exactly, but the wiring diagram will show.
