My Canadian friends, who here has done their brake booster assembly and actuator pump? My dealer (Lexus and Toyota, prices don't vary much) wants almost 8000$ for the two parts which is a complete gouge and I don't understand why dealers in the USA have the same parts for almost 10x less. I found a dealer in the states that is willing to ship to me but has anyone really done this repair here and paid almost 10 000$ with labor?

Yes that's in CAD. The assembly is 4100$USD here while 455$USD in a USA dealer... Unbelievable. Mine hasn't failed yet but I don't want to be in that situation if it does so I might just buy them from the states now and hold on to them.

Take a look on Amayama. IIRC they’re not remarkably lower in this case, and you have to consider shipping as well. Likely cheapest to get both shipped from one country, even if the parts are a bit more expensive, to avoid two shipping charges.

Your avatar says “other hybrid”, one of the links in initial post is Lexus, and your posting on Gen 3 Prius sub-forum: can you clarify make, model and year?

Thanks for sharing the Amayama, I have checked and its about half the price. It still seems much cheaper to buy it from the states. My car is a 2014 Ct200h but their is much more 3rd gen prius owners which is why I post here since the CT is essentially a 3rd gen.
