So I'm looking at add a subwoofer to my 2005 Prius

    Rockville ss8p built in amp
    Scosche LOC2SL

Can I tap my LOC into the rear speakers to make it work or do I have to tap it into the headunit. The problem is I dont know which cables to tap into in the head unit. If anyone can let me know that'll be great.

I don't know about your specific sub/amp but subs have one of two connection options, some have both. 1) line in signal (usually RCA) and or 2) speaker level input. With option 2, you would tap into the speakers. Option 1 would require you tapping into the head unit.

Look in your manual or at the unit itself, there are either 2 separate set of input or a switch selector for a single set of input.
