I'm a super happy proud new owner of this beautiful car. I took a road trip with it and got over 60 miles to the gallon. My question is regarding the navigation system. I would like for it to interface with my Android phone where I could use Waze and other apps. I read that this car is not compatible with Android auto. Wondering if there's anybody else that has found work arounds. If so, could you please share. Video of the fix would be so helpful, if it's complicated. I would have done a search on this in the forum, but I didn't see a search bar. Maybe I'm missing something?
The only gen4s that came equipped with Android auto was the 2020 and newer LE (8 inch touch screen only). The advanced or tech optioned Primes had Carplay only. You can purchase a 'converter box' that'll translate android auto into Carplay language. I don't know if they fixed that in the gen5s. As for your 2018, I don't think you have either, and can't get it. It's just has a big Tesla want-a-be screen - Sorry.... Hope this helps....
What option did you choose to get Android auto play on your vehicle. I heard that there are something that you can attach to your windshield that will run Android apps. Or Apple apps. It seems like it would block my view. Have you guys found anything that would work really well?
