Brake Problems - replaced pump assembly, intermittent problem?

I own a 2013 Prius. My brake pump went out recently and I had that replaced. I however didn't have the master brake cylinder replaced. Everything seemed fine after getting my car back but lately when I drive, I lose the ABS brakes and the dash lights up again. It will turn off for awhile again after 10 minutes of driving. I'm guessing the master brake cylinder also needs replaced? Unfortunately I can't run the codes as nothing shows since the warning lights turn off again once I return home. Tried but nothing populates.

It would have to be the pump assembly already having had failed (unlikely?), since I just had it replaced with a new one.

OR

The master brake cylinder failing.

Is it always suggested to have these two repairs done together?
