Hey all, I have a 2020 Prius L Eco and use Apple CarPlay navigation. Love the car. I listen to music a lot (often quite loudly) and CarPlay does not lower the music volume when Siri is speaking. I already set the voice to "loud" in the Maps app on my iPhone 8. It says there that the music volume should go down when the voice come on. But it doesn't. What am I missing here? Thanks!
Have a 2020 prius and maps suddenly will not display on my screen from my iPhone 8 that has the current release? I've tried everything.changed cable, reset phone, check all the settings for car play. you name it. Any help????
Can I get some help here, my 2020 prius with wired apple play just stopped working one day. Took it to the dealer, and they tried to get it working and could not. I was told they could replace the usb port and it might work $400 or replace the display $1100 but was given no guarantee either would fix the issue. Anyone know how I may determine what the problem may be. I can play music off my phone when plugged in but apps don't display, Please, any ideas?
I purchased an MFi Certified cable and that fixed my conductivity issue with my iPhone 12 mini and my 2021 Prime LTd. The OEM Apple cable wouldn’t always work. I bought a Belkin BoostCharge Braided Lightning Cable from Amazon model # CAA002bt1MWH.
^ Yep, a lot of the cheaper, knock-off cables are charge only - not designed for data transfer. You can test your car rig by plugging your car rig into a PC or MAC. It should recognize right away, then start transferring files. As it's transferring files juggle the cable around to see if it drops connection, slows transfer, of gives you any other error messages. That should tell you if you've got a bad cable.
