Hello everyone, Could SoftTex seats be removed from a 2013 PIP, and installed in another 2013 which has cloth seats? Presume bolts would line straight up, with questions around power harness connectors and such.
if the seats are OEM, the Same body style, then they should line up like any similar situation, unless something was customized. But I doubt anyone would go messing with the safety of bolt holes or seat designs without serious implications. I'm looking into this kind of thing because my 2014 pip got barely flooded enough to deep water into foot wells and the bottom carpets got moldy. So we had them removed but I'm too stubborn to buy new ones for $1000. So with the popularity of this body style in the US, I figure I should be able to find some pet free/smoke free tidy person's Prius that got in a wreck to take them out and yet it's hard to find such a wreck that hasn't been ruined or stained already. Ugh. ps I'll need to remove seats to do such a swap myself.
Had a few basic high-level questions (nothing about seats or anything being asked here) and seller doesn't seem to want to answer questions so likely going to pass. Seller didn't respond to chat or email (3 weeks ago)...got the seller on sms text recently and the moment I asked a question seller stopped responding.
The lower trim wouldn't have power seats...where the pleather would be powered (likely the same for heated seats.) In theory, the wiring harnesses would exist either way. Power seat controls are part of the seat itself I think. Switches and plastic molding for heating (presuming wire harnesses already exist) could be pulled from previous vehicle, right? Anyone familiar w/both models to know if wiring would be nearly identical?
