    My 2017 Prius Prime, with 81,000 miles, is showing the following fault codes from an AutoZone OBD-II reader:
    • C1259: HV/EV Control System Regenerative Malfunction
    • C1310: HV/EV System Malfunction
    I’m not sure if there’s an additional code starting with "P." The car lurched suddenly, so I pulled into a parking lot and turned it off. Now, it won’t shift into drive or reverse. The car powers on but doesn’t charge the traction battery and won’t move.
    The display shows:
    1. Hybrid system malfunction, insufficient power
    2. Pre-collision system malfunction
    3. Braking system malfunction
    I’ve checked the 12-volt battery, and it’s new and in good condition. There might be another missing code. Any assistance would be appreciated. I bled brake fluid about 3000 miles ago and the brake fluid level is not low and I think I did a good job. Filters are all Good. Replaced all filter including HV battery filters (all OEM) about 2000 miles ago. Always kept the car at tip top condition. Please help.

    The Autozone scan tool is not capable of reading all the trouble codes. You need a more capable scan tool. See below;

    That may be covered under your 8 year 100K mile battery / Federal emissions warranty. Call Toyota corporate and ask them.

    The OP first needs to find out what all the trouble codes are. He tried to do just that, but I can understand why he walked away from the dealership.

    The OP posted what I have copied below in another thread:
    I can understand why the OP is upset.
