I had a repeated post last week. Of course if you are on the number one smartphone nothing updates properly.

Images from phone cameras are displaying waaay too big, either embedded in the text or just attached. The following is embedded; at least you can see the full pic, but excessively oversized. If I just attach it, when I click to view I'm looking at one corner of gargantuan image, have to scroll.

Any ideas about how to remove this axle-nut? | PriusChat

Hmm, interesting: I reposted the picture from above, and this time just attached it (not embedded in text). When I view this image on iphone it sizes properly, but on my windows 10 pc, THEN it's grossly over-zoomed in, looking at just the corner of pic, a study of fingerprint whorls:

Any ideas about how to remove this axle-nut? | Page 2 | PriusChat

Also, iphone access to the site continues to be an "exercise": "my content" is stale, and cannot be updated by refreshing the page. Multiple edits of a post, you've GOT to be on your toes, refresh the edit page. Forget and you're editting a stale edit, losing previous edit.

    Anyhoo, talking to myself again.

The pics look fine on my PC.
Look into the photo size settings on the camera(phone), the Windows display settings, and the monitor's specs. A mulit-mega pixel photo will look right on the device that took it, but can become very zoomed in on old standard definition displays, or ones that just have their settings turned down to that.

i feel like i'm missing a lot of posts, because no matter how often i refresh, the first hit can be hours old.

Oh yeah, same here. "New Posts" even has greyed-out posts. You get complacent.

Again, t's "relatively" bullet-proof (regarding the refresh issue) on my pc, and a mess on my iPhone.

I think you guys are hoping against hope that this site (or in fact, any site) will go to any lengths to accommodate old browsers, be that on computers, tablets, or phones.

Trying a different browser can work. I only use my (old) computer to interact with Prius Chat and have switched to the Opera browser. Apart from some (infrequent) pesky ads, there are none of the other issues.

A site may not run as well on a browser as it does on others. There could also be issues with the mobile version of the site. Have those seeing issues when using a phone or tablet tried opening the desktop version of the site?

Same story here. The site behaves quite well on my somewhat dated Windows 10 PC, using Chrome. But on an iPhone SE2, not using any special app, just the built-in Safari browser, virtually everything served up by the site is stale:

Your Content: stale, and refresh doesn't help a bit
Alerts: stale, refreshing the page fixes
Multiple edits to a posting: you MUST refresh the page, or you're editing the old edit, lose the latest
Seeing your edit after reposting: you MUST refresh the page, or your post is either stale or completely missing

There's more, I'm tired of typing lol.

A few months ago Danny weighed in once, in a thread where a couple of guys had been duking it out for at least a couple of pages. Just a blast, then AFAIK has not said anything since. Ignoring this thread. December of last year is when he started this thread.

it's definitely a safari issue, and only since the migration

I think it’s IOS not Safari. I have the same problems on Chrome under iOS.

Edits reverting to old version in Chrome:

Clicking on pic supersizes it on Chrome

Curious how high-resolution pictures attached to a post are working for others. With a Windows 10 desktop PC and Chrome browser, clicking on the images opens another tab for the image, which displays at apparent full resolution, zoomed to 100%. I see maybe 20% of the image, the top/left corner. Not very useful.

I've reported this before, and it's basically just talk-among-yourselves here, but anyway:
