Draining fuel pains has anyone done it yet?

    Got our older PC back which needed (to my disbelief & imbarrasment in only a month since last used with no problems, said my best son, that had XP home on it):
    power supply, another gig ram, better video card with driver avail for win 7 and newer hd as old one was corrupt.
    Installed TIS v10.10.018 as my listing said v9 but came more current. Got to lug the PC out ran the '06 through a lot of tests, logged the codes & timestamped them and my conclusions are that the following are cascade codes related to the powertrain HV batt voltage codes PA080 & P3014 (both modules block 4 not happy) which are kinda the same. Will list them last below.
    Other things found broken or not exactly perfect were cruise control & wheel sensors seem to need new batteries as they varied about 2.4 lbs or so if they are that type as my guage & inflator is pretty accurate but will play with that later.
    Good news, I reset twice on this longest drive yet, the 2 chronic codes above as PA080 sets first then in very noticeable increasing longer intervals the P3014 which also immediately the red triangle, three yellow ABS, VSC & TRAC lights illuminate and after 2nd reset the P3014 stayed gone for about 6.5 miles and so did the red triangle, three yellow ones ABS, VSC + TRAC. So battery is getting healthier the more she gets driven which we saw on the '04 to a reasonably extent. Still plan on replacing both modules of block 4 if we ever ID the numbering system and getting PriusChat Store 2 bulb discharge kit very soon. Planning about 3 hour round trip Saturday with her.
    One issue we had was we could not get the antilock system to do a bleed cycle it said do thus & so then pull the 2 ABS motor relays (big blue ones) as the ABS #1 & ABS #2 are green smaller ones next to the big blue motor ones. It kept failing several attempts. One brake sys test / calibration that said both ABS & VSC lights would blink but only ABS did so that calibration would not work.

    System level codes:
    C1241 low batt positive volts or abnormal high positive volts.
    C1310 HV sys malfunction.

    ABS/VSC/TRAC C1259 C1310 both current codes.
    Gateway B1271 history but not current.

    When it rains it pours (on us lately anyway):
    We are having fits with the '06 today (toatled out wreck rebuild) as the HV batt is expected at times to kick 2 codes & turn on discussed code P0A80 for HV batt health red triangle & VSC / TRAC etc yellow lights. So it kicks off a code P3014 then if a block #4 (2 modules codes and the Antilock brakes,/ VSC & TRACtion control system (has 3 units that act together power consumption wise) sets 3 yellow dummy lights I got to reset with Torque Pro after driving it more which the battery likes. Well today all heck brakes loose and the multifunction center display (MFD) is not showing charging & the entire dash combo meter display (except expleted maint required yellow dummy light just like the '04 in failure) goes complete out. When wifey tries to go get title & tags for it which dash must work for as they must see mileaage. Very upsetting. Not sure of the high speed comm bus went out or if like our '04 the power reg / guardian chip on dash board prong for power in popped off (came unsoldered) from cold poor high speed solder joint robotic production. So we get to drag out the PC for Techstream (TIS) dianogsis in the drizzling rain under the carport. Oh boy!

    Update on code listed. Combo meter code the DTC breakdown TIS says is the Gateway B1271 Combination Meter ECU Communication Stop, history only. So need to look at some wiring & location of CM ECU. This only occured for about 5 minutes total in light rain cooler than daytime normal temps but warmer than most all our night test drives.

    This reply may help someone else which was to my review on the Fogta Mini-VCI I got & the inability to register TIS for Mini-VCI and my seller who was "E-XPLOR" and support not available due to defunct seller on Amazon:

    To activate any version of techstream, install whichever techstream .exe you choose, then:

    open My Computer --> C:\Program files\Toyota Diagnostics\Techstream\Env

    open IT3System.ini file and scroll down to

    AVAILABLE FUNCTION SETTING

    Switch TISFunction=1 to TISFunction=0

    Click File, and Save.

    You should be able to choose any region you like without having activation problems if you do the above before running TS for the first time.

    You should not run TISKEY or have to copy a modified copy of base program if you use the above method.

    Question on your fuel tank. Did that go back together OK? No codes related to it? One of my employees put a couple gallons of diesel in our 07 Prius. Didn't run it. But we had it towed to our truck mechanic, He dropped the tank. And has been draining it for a few days.

    I'm worried about some codes on startup. (or worse)

    Your drain method looks very similar to our setup. LOL

    We had zero issues.

    Keep in mind its an entirely exponentially complicated job compared to a '70-'90's ish vehicle but with all similar common sense qualifiers a very competant technician should handle it just fine. My 19-22 well trained young men but still semi inexperienced compared to me did the reinstallation part perfect.
