Newbie question: The 2006 manual says the Prius is capable of registering up to 6 Bluetooth phones. But if I transfer the entire address book of each phone, will all the contacts be lumped into s single address book? Or will each active (selected) phone have its own address book? Thanks -Adriano

I can manually select which phone book to use. When I uploaded the contacts from the phone, the car gave me an option of whether to replace the existing phone book information or to only add the new contacts to those which are already in the system.

So in theory I can upload the contacts of my phone into one phone book and the content of my wife's phone into the other phone book? How do "Groups" come into effect? (sorry for the annoying questions, but the owner's manual is not very clear)
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(elmofongo @ Jan 9 2007, 02:57 PM) </div> I learned considerably more by old fashioned trial and error than from reading the almost incomprehensible manual. The 05 definitely has two phone books; the phone book choice is accessible through the Settings menu, reachable from the main phone screen. I do not know about the 06 and 07 models, though. As far as I can tell, I cannot assign contacts to groups.
The 07 requires you pick a phonebook group upon BT importing of contacts (at least it does with nav...) I just imported the other night on my way home (lots of contacts) and I remember seeing at least 6 groups. Not sure if they are independent based on phone or not...
