I want to upgrade my Prius C with apple carplay. I have seen kits with Android 11 that supports Apple Carplay as well as rear back up cameras. Has anyone done it before? Here is the link I found:
I installed a Sony system in ours, from crutchfield.com Getting one from the big autosound brands usually cost more but the software is generally more stable, and the warranties are longer. That doesn't necessarily mean they are better, just depends on what you want. There weren't as many choices available when I installed ours 5+ years ago. Whichever system you choose, the Prius c is pretty easy to upgrade. Good luck!
I've just recently done this over the weekend. It's Tuesday now, only pieces I haven't figured out are how to get the steering wheel controls to work, and the working in the forward and rear cameras I rigged up back in 2015. Back then I had to make something up because kits didn't exist and I'm wondering due to my making things up as I went, that's why the cameras and "foward/rear camera enable" switch doesn't work.
