Just FYI, the TPMS light in my wife’s 2012 Prius C came on during a short trip, she took it to a garage on the way and had all pressures checked (which were OK since I had checked the pressures in all tires a few days before). I couldn't reset the light with the car's reset button, but I have a Carista app and subscription which found a sensor fault and reset the light. It has not come back on after several days of driving.
Will Carista app allow you to register new sensor IDs on a Prius C? I tried Techstream, but the Prius C is the only Toyota I can’t get it to work with.
Hello and sorry for missing your reply, the light would eventually come back on, and would again after resetting the system after a couple of miles. The Carista app includes a screen which allows the user to manually enter the ID of a replacement sensor, I ordered a new sensor and will report on whether registering the sensor is possible after installing it!
It's been a while, but Saturday I was finally able to replace the sensor. I programmed it with the Carista app just by changing the sensor code (listed on the sensor body). It appears the sensor activates once the car is in motion.
