Many LSV's are configurable to high-speed, but the regulations don't allow it, probably because safety concerns?

 

This is the second Prius in which I've gone past one light-second without noticing at the right time and getting an odometer pic.

 

some like bikes even cycles with motors. The bigger they are the harder they fall. some tricks to getting one of the barges up if after it was dropped.

Dropping a bike isn't necessarily the end ot the world, until it makes the news.

I hate how the middle has been eaten out of everything.

I need to install a new lamp fixture in my downstairs hallway.

My choices appear to be a big brand thing like the Philips for $120, or some trash from Amazon for $8.

That's WHY I can get an awesome burrito lunch for $7 from a local restaurant - or a stale burger in a sack from a large chain with their 'secret salmonella sauce' for a little more.

 

We have replaced any light fixtures like that due to heat rising to deteriorate the wiring in the ceiling above. LED CFL replacement bulbs get hot too due to their integrated controllers.

Habitat for Humanity Re*Store for the win. You might not know in advance what light you're going to come home with, but you'll probably find something you like.

Also, the ostentatious lighting showroom in town here usually does have some things on clearance. I've been known to stop in and wander through now and then just to look.

My local bigbox builder stores appear to have the same things as Amazon, just available today and triple the price.

 

Today when checking out at Lowes I had to go thru two screens at the self-checkout asking me if I wanted to 'round up' up my purchase to the nearest dollar for charity?

Then at the White Castle on the way home after picking up some burgers I was asked if I wanted to 'round up' for charity.

I really think this is a bit much - and really pushy by these retailers.

We do give to charities and do vet them to make sure they are good charities and do give charitable donations at church.

For me a Hardware Store and Burger Joint asking people to round up for charities they have picked is a bit presumptuous.

Is that just me?

I always round up for charity if they ask. It’s sort of a guilty feeling as it’s so little. But it adds up.
